On March 5, Fluvanna Count High School’s Power Team traveled up to The Arnold Sports Festival in Ohio in order to face off against some of the country’s strongest high school athletes. Junior Toria Belew won the Older Division Sled Push award while freshman Delaney Reed won both the Younger Division Sled Pushing and Tire Flipping awards. Junior Renee Custer managed to earn the Older Division Tire Flipping Award. Though their awards were scarce, the boys managed to earn the Older Division Tire Flipping Award, earned by junior Cole Craig.

On Sunday, Belew and junior Erin Blackburn managed to place first in the Overall Team awards. Senior Brooklyn Duenas and junior Madison Brown won second place while Custer and Reed won third. For the boys, sophomore Jerrod Roseman and sophomore Trevor O’Dell both achieved second place in the Team Boys Overall reward. Duenas and O’Dell also became the Co-ed Team Overall winners.
