On Nov. 7, up and coming artist Tiffany Houghton will come to FCHS to perform a concert during 6th period. Houghton is perhaps best known for her debut single “High” which was shot on location in Miami. While attendance at the concert is optional, based on the buzz around the school since Houghton’s posters were put up on the walls, students will be clamoring to be there.

Houghton started singing when she was really young and has been doing it ever since. “When I was 17 years old, I picked up, and moved to Nashville, TN,” Houghton relates on her website. “The day I moved, my car was broken into and EVERYTHING was stolen. My laptop with all of my songs, my guitar that I wrote those songs on and those journals I had been writing in since I was six – yeah, gone,” said Houghton.

Despite taking a huge loss, Houghton continued on to follow her dream of singing. Houghton’s debut single titled High is, in her words, “about the elevated and irrepressible feeling you get when you’re so early in a relationship that he’s still perfect.” With a ton of energy and charisma, Houghton is sure to wow FCHS with her talent. If you miss the concert, you’ll still be able to see her when she sings the National Anthem at the last home football game Nov. 7.
