Seniors Ashley Monahan and Makayla Damron show off their painted hands as they participate in the traditional senior handprints activity in the senior lounge on April 27. The event was part of week-long activities celebrating Decision Day on April 30.

Senior Delaney Feury places her painted handprint on the wall of the lounge. Each year’s senior class gets to gather in the lounge, paint their hands, and make their marks to celebrate their time in high school.

Senior Ryllen Beasley shows off her handprint in the lounge. “I always remember seeing all of the seniors do this throughout high school, and I think it is a great way to make your mark,” said Beasley.

Senior Samantha Fontenot places her handprint in a special place. “I put my hand where my brother did when he graduated in 2022. I put mine next to his so that us siblings can stay together,” she said.

Seniors Isabella Ott and Jersie Belew prepare to place their handprints together. “We’ve been waiting to do this for a while and have been so excited. We’ve been friends since the third grade, so doing it together is special because it shows we finished strong,” said Belew.
