The FCHS Future Farmers of America (FFA) teams took part in the Forestry Field Day event at the Virginia State Fair on Sept. 29 in Doswell. Both the senior and junior teams competed against schools from across the region and placed in the top ranks, including the following:

Senior Team – 2nd Place out of 34 Teams

Steven Alessi & Caleb Brent – Log Roll (5th)

Matt Farist – Log Throw (4th)

Bridgette Thomson – Water Pack (17th)

Alexandria Swingle & Dylan Bryant – Crosscut (7th)

Tyler Custer – Bow Saw (2nd)

Junior Team – 6th Place out of 22 Teams

Evan Green – Log Throw

Henery Bazzarre & Ewan Hickey – Crosscut

Mason Henderson – Bow Saw (2nd)

Chance Mason & Jeremiah Porter – Log Roll

Piper Rodgers – Water Pack
