With the 2025-2026 school year half over, it’s not too late to make the most of whatever time students have left at FCHS. Ten FCHS seniors were recently asked what advice they’d like to share with all the underclassmen. Here is what they had to say.
Nigeria Watkins – “Speak your own mind and don’t let anyone speak your mind for you. Always keep your guard up with anyone, even if it’s your closest friend.”
Taylor Marin – “Your first years of high school, including eighth grade, are your most important years, so prioritize them.”
Jersie Belew – “Don’t let others get in the way of who you truly are. Be true to yourself, no matter who you lose along the way.”
Aniyah Fitch – “Don’t worry about what others think of you, because at the end of the day, you always have yourself.”
Mikaela King – “Always be mindful of your behavior towards others because you never truly know what someone else has going on in their life.”
Tramayne Minor – “Stay on top of your grades.”
Vanessa Vandevander – “Don’t be scared to try new clubs and activities.”
Christopher Madison – “Even if you have no idea what you are talking about, participate in class discussions.”
NaShawn Harris – “Enjoy life while you can.”
Jonathan Gretz – “Procrastination doesn’t get you far. Actually do the outlines in Mr. Morrison’s class.”
