On March 28, students from Fluvanna County High School went out for “Hands On Fluvanna,” a county-wide service opportunity for high school clubs and sports teams to give back to the community. As a continuation of this event, TV Production and Student Government Association (SGA) teacher David Small connected with special education teachers Nick Ward and Amy Hill to honor fallen veterans at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.
Flowers were donated by a florist associated with Floramax of Richmond, and on April 18, members of SGA worked with Ward’s and Hill’s special education students to create bouquets. The attached video created by David Small, details the groups efforts to create and deliver the bouquets to Arlington to honor fallen veterans.
