On April 30, seniors came together for one of the most looked-forward-to traditions at FCHS: Decision Day. Led by Pathways Adviser Anjoleigh Schindler, the event was held during 4th block to celebrate where the students in the class of 2026 will be heading after high school.
A special part of Decision Day was the seniors’ tie-dye shirts, which were colored to represent their plans, whether that means attending a four-year university, community college, enlisting in the military, or a different path.
“I really liked the shirts because it was so fun to see where everyone will be going after graduation,” said Jack Jeffries.
The day was filled with energy and excitement as students participated in multiple field games. Slip-n-slide kickball was a favorite among students. “It was a very fun game and everyone who didn’t play missed out,” said Ranko Ivanic.
Spikeball, football, and volleyball were also options, and although many of the seniors are competitive, it was a chill and celebratory afternoon spent with friends.
“Me and my friends played spikeball for the majority of the time, and it brought me back to when I was younger and would play all the time,” said Allison Rhoades.
SGA had food stations, which offered popcorn, cotton candy, and snow cones. The combination of these treats, music, and field games made it a memorable experience as seniors counted down the days before graduation on May 22.
