The Best Fashion Trends This Season

As fall weather approaches us again, many are breaking out their favorite fall pieces. Though, throughout the years fall fashion has changed, as do most trends. Let’s take a look at today’s top fashion trends to get you ready for this fall season.

One of the newest fall fashion trends I’ve seen is the bomber jacket. These jackets are semi-lightweight with a puff to the sleeves. They go great with a pair of bootcut jeans or combat pants. You can even take it up a notch and pair it with a short skirt, although I think a longer skirt would be unflattering. A longer skirt with a bomber jacket would be “too much” per se, it would have too much going on at one time between the slightly puffed sleeves and the length of the skirt. For shoes, you could go with a simple pair, go with Doc Martens, or even a pair of Converse. These jackets come in many different colors and styles. Some colors include olive green, black, navy, and a nice maroon. I don’t particularly think this trend is quite popular yet as I’ve only seen a few people on TikTok wear it, but I believe it has some potential. Try to avoid layering jewelry with this look. You want it to look simple and edgy.

This next one I’ve seen a few times in public, usually on young adults, but cute nonetheless, is a denim maxi skirt. This fashion piece goes great with sweaters but it also goes well with tee shirts and long sleeves. To top it off, you could pair it with a cute cardigan or corduroy jacket with some knee high boots or a pair of sneakers. Add some simple elegant gold jewelry and it’s a look. Denim obviously comes in a light or dark blue color but you could also get it in black and white. I’m sure if you looked hard enough you could find some other colors, but I don’t imagine those would be as flattering considering the fact that colored jeans are a bit harder to style and you can only often pair them with plain t-shirts.

Next, I think it has to be my favorite fall trend. It’s not new but it’s also not old. It’s a classic that I love seeing make its return every fall. Mary Janes are just about the cutest shoes I’ve ever seen. They go great with just about anything you can think of. You could wear them with skirts, pants, and leather. Even with all these options, I think the best way to wear them is to pair them with an oversized sweater, mini skirt, and tights. What really tops it off is a pair of lace trimmed socks. You wear this and layer it with some gold and silver jewelry and you are giving off the best fall vibes.

Last but not least we have an old trend that’s been resurfaced throughout the years. Bell Bottoms have made a striking come back, while they aren’t just for fall, they do make quite the statement. Bell Bottoms are usually high waisted and tight around the thighs with the bottoms flared out. These flashy pants don’t just come in jeans, they come in all kinds of fabrics like suede, cotton, polyester, and satin, as well as coming in many colors and patterns so you can pair them with any shirt or shoe you have in your closet. I would steer away from leather bell bottoms as those can be tricky to keep up with, not to mention the hassle it is to put them on.

Some stores to find these pieces are American Eagle, Target, and Old Navy. You could also possibly find cheaper options on Amazon or Shein. I hope these pieces are helpful to you in trying to keep up with today’s fall trends.
