Fluvanna County High School’s varsity football team fell to Broadway in their home game on Sept. 26, with a final score of 20-7. Will Lambert scored the Fluco’s only touchdown of the night, set up by a throw from Benny Denby, who made key plays on both sides of the ball. Despite the loss, the student section kept up their energy, dressing in bright tropical-themed attire to cheer on their team.
Looking ahead, Fluvanna will host their second home game of the season on Oct. 4, with a “Pink Out” theme. Fans are encouraged to wear all pink and come out to support the team as they take on Western Albemarle High School.
As of Sept. 26, the varsity team holds a season record of 2-2. The JV team will be back in action on Oct. 9 with an away game against Albemarle High School.
