Now in its 23rd year, the FCHS Literary Magazine Club is looking for student artists and writers interested in getting their work published in the 2026 Literary Magazine. The magazine is an academic sport which competes in the Virginia High School League (VHSL).
“The Literary Magazine is an amazing opportunity to showcase the talents of our students. I’ve loved working with the team each year to cultivate the best stories, poems, and artwork that Fluvanna has to offer. Being on the Lit Mag staff is a great way to flex your leadership and decision-making skills, and I’m so glad to be a part of it,” said Literary Magazine Editor Rachael Broxon.
More than 30 FCHS students had their stories, poems, or artwork published in the 2025 FCHS “Undefined” Literary Magazine, which was published digitally at the end of last year and submitted for judging by VHSL. The magazine included student poems, stories, art, and music collab submissions from the Creative Writing, Art, and Music classes.
“I really love working with the Literary Magazine as it allows me to read so many different stories. It’s really fun to see how different students from different classes end up writing. It’s also really cool to be able to see all the art that students make, since there are so many mediums and prompts that they can create something from. Overall, it’s just really eye-opening and interesting to work on,” said Literary Magazine Editor Annika Potter.
The results of the 2025 magazine judging will be announced in October by VHSL. The 2024 “Undefined” magazine received a First Class award from VHSL. You can access the 2025 magazine by clicking the link below.
