While the 2025 school year ended May 23, the FCHS soccer season still had games to go before ending. Subsequently, the FCHS boys’ varsity soccer team finished their season with a 6-6-2 record in the Jefferson District and 10-7-2 overall.

Coach Jason Davis recently shared the names of eight players who won awards at Districts, Regionals, and States. In an email to FCHS staff, Davis encouraged the team, as well as students, to congratulate the winners, whose names were announced in the summer.

“If you see any of these guys or their teammates, let them know how proud we are of them. They had a strong spring season and represented our school the right way,” said Davis.

At Regionals, they earned a victory in their first-round game, 3-0, and lost their second-round game in overtime. The team continued to compete through the postseason.

Meanwhile, the varsity girls’ soccer team, under the direction of Coach Kat Hinkle, had their own standout players, with three players earning awards in the Jefferson District and two in all of Central Virginia.
