The FCHS Theater classes are presenting a community performance of “Eurydice” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct 24 in the FCHS Auditorium.
According the Theater teacher Craig Edgerton, “Sarah Ruhl’s ‘Eurydice’ is a modern retelling of the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, told from Eurydice’s perspective: Dying too young on her wedding day, Eurydice must journey to the underworld, where she reunites with her father and struggles to remember her lost love. With contemporary characters, plot twists, the play is a fresh look at a timeless love story.”
Admission is free but donations are accepted. The cast are presenting the performance in preparation for the Jefferson District Theatre Competition on Nov. 2 at Western Albemarle High School.
