Candy Cane Grams Come to FCHS

Want to show someone your appreciation for them this Christmas season? FCHS Interact Club will be selling Candy Cane Grams from December 4-8 in the cafeteria before Fluco WIN time and after dismissal by the doors at the bus ramp. Grams can be purchased for $2, cash only, and Interact member will deliver it to any FCHS student or staff member. When buying a gram, you will need to the person’s first and last name and their third period.

“Don’t miss out on this chance to support a good cause and spread some joy before the end of the semester,” said Interact board member Krista Donahue. “Our Candy Cane Gram Fundraiser was organized to raise money for Rise Against Hunger, a non-profit organization that supplies meals for those in need,” she added.
This year, Interact has over 100 registered members. They meet during 2nd and 4th Club WIN in 3502. The sponsors are Carolynne Hagan and Aime McCall. Over the last year, they have held several fundraising events. “In late January we held a Bake Sale and Donation Drive at Local Eats and raised around $800 for the Fluvanna SPCA in only 4 hours,” said Donahue. “We also held The Jack O’ Lantern Jamboree this past October, which raised hundreds of dollars for Rise Against Hunger,” she continued.
Interact encourages everyone to buy a Candy Cane Gram for someone you appreciate. If you would like to learn more about Interact, reach out to board members Krista Donahue, Sarah Beth Robinson, Isaiah Bradley, Ariana Nolte, and Taneya Jackson or check out their Instagram @interact.fchs.
