SGA Brings Christmas Cheer to Charlottesville

An annual event meant to spread holiday joy throughout our community was successfully accomplished on Dec. 22, 2021.

A handful of Fluvanna County High School’s Student Government Association (SGA) students and their teacher, David Small, kicked off the holiday season by caroling at various locations throughout Fluvanna and Charlottesville. They caroled at Our Lady of Peace, Colonnades and Martha Jefferson house retirement homes, and the Downtown Mall in Charlottesville.

The group practiced the songs for about three class periods in order to prepare for this annual event. The effect of the group appeared to have a strong impact on the listeners. “The residents seemed extremely happy to see young faces and being able to join us in song,” said Small.
