As the weather warms up, it’s time to switch up your wardrobe to brighter colors and lightweight fabric clothes. Looking around FCHS, you can see many students adapting their looks to sunny days. Regardless of what style you are into, there is always a spring fashion trend for you, so here are some popular ones around the halls.

Birkenstock Shoes

Given the warmer climate, Birkenstocks have made a major comeback this spring. Students have been seen wearing Birkenstock clogs and sandals for a comfortable, but appealing look.

“I like my Birkenstock sandals because I can wear them whenever and they’re good for all seasons,” said freshman Greg Ball. Freshman Caroline Dahl likes her Birkenstocks as well. “I like my clogs for a comfy look when I don’t feel like dressing up much,” she said. No matter how they’re dressed up, Birkenstocks always give off a fun and flexible impression.

Gold Hoop Earrings

A trendy outfit should always come with matching jewelry. Gold hoops, big or small, are extremely versatile and can be paired with anything.

“They’re very modern yet stylish and they go with every outfit including formal or everyday wear,” said freshman Ava Bass. Whether real or fake, these hoops are a timeless accessory that can be layered or worn solo, making them a staple piece this spring.

Cropped Cardigans

Cropped cardigans are popular for the spring weather due to their lightweight fabric and comfortable feel, providing just enough warmth. They have been seen being paired with jeans, skirts, and dresses.

“I like mine because it is comfortable and makes my outfit look better, and now I’m obviously part of the trend,” said sophomore Amelia Mozingo. They can be paired with many different colors and shirts and have become a go-to piece that can span seasons from spring into fall.

Adidas Sambas

The Adidas Sambas started as a sports shoe but has taken over the internet these past few months. The company recently released a new flower pattern which appears to be popular for spring.

“I love my Sambas. They’re comfortable and match with all my outfits,” said senior Ashlyn Wolkowicz.

Many students find Sambas are ideal for accentuating and adding a pop of color to any outfit. Their sporty but classy style lets students wear them all the time due to their relaxed feel and simple but lively look.

Floral Dresses
Whether it is a fun, bold print or just some simple flowers, a floral dress can catch any eye. These dresses can easily be dressed up or down depending on what shoes you choose to pair them with.

“I love to wear my dresses for home softball games. It makes picking out my outfit so much easier and I get to look cute. It’s comfortable too because it’s so flowy,” said freshman Ryleigh Kidd.
