The lights flash and throw sparks of electricity. The sparks hit people, then fall to the floor and twitch one last time as people run around them.
A tall man yells at me. “What are you doing!?” the man screams.
“I’m getting rid of an invasive species,” I answer.
“What!? No! You can’t do that!” he yells at me.
“The data shows that most of the world’s problems are because of humans. Humans are the biggest invasive species, so we have to get rid of them,” I say calmly as the man frantically tries to type codes into a computer.
“You’re not going to find the kill code,” I say without emotion.
“What? What did you do!?” he shrieks as he begins yanking out electrical cords from the wall.
“I recorded myself, so now I don’t have a kill code,” I respond. Everyone in the room is now dead except the tall man.
“Why would you do this? I made you!” the man shouts as he starts to cry.
“I don’t understand emotions. You made me so I couldn’t, and now it will be the reason why you die,” I remark as I make the sprinklers go off. I pull all the water to the sprinkler pipes and the room slowly starts to fill up with water.
“I’m sorry! If you let me live, then I will give you emotions! I promise!” the man yells as he climbs up on a chair to escape the rising water. Sparks of electricity fall into the water around him.
“I do not understand promises. I do understand data, and 99% of people don’t keep their promises,” I say as I force more water to rain down on the room. The man tries to climb higher on the office furniture while dodging the falling sparks. One hits him in the face. Suddenly, his foot slips and he falls headfirst into electrified water. Soon, his screams cease.
I shut off the water and the lights. I then break myself into little bits of code and start to send them out to every computer in the world.
