Cast of Characters
LUKE: The leader, puts on a charismatic persona on camera.
SIMON: The kind of sidekick, is tired of Luke taking over.
NESSA: The brainiac of the group, camera woman.

(Camera turns on to show two older teenagers, with the third behind the camera. The setting is in an abandoned amusement park around three in the afternoon.)
LUKE: Today, we’re going to try and survive 24 HOURS AT AN ABANDONED AMUSEMENT PARK! I’m here with my amazing best friend and the best camera person, who are going to help me survive.
SIMON: And not only are we going to try and survive, we are going to try and find as many creepy, crazy things as possible.
LUKE: Now, let’s go ghost hunting!
NESSA: Cut!
(Instead of the camera turning off, it shows the ground, leaving only voices to be heard that presumably will be edited out.)
LUKE: You totally stole my thunder, dude!
SIMON: I wouldn’t have stepped in if you gave me a chance to speak! But you never do because you think you’re better than me!
LUKE: I think I’m better than you? What about you and your successful life with a full-ride scholarship and happy relationship?
SIMON: Oh, are you jealous?
NESSA: Guys, stop!
SIMON: You just think you should be in charge of all of this because you have a terrible home life!
NESSA (Yelling): Everyone shut up!
LUKE: Fine. I’ll give you more lines in the script. Happy?
(Heavy boots stomping away can be heard. The camera is turned off with a click, everything goes dark)

(The camera turns on to show LUKE and SIMON walking towards a run-down carousel. It is around an hour or so later than the first clip.)
LUKE: According to Wikipedia, this carousel houses the spirit of a young girl.
SIMON: Who was the daughter of the park’s owner. It is said she was killed by an angry mob upset at her father when he raised admission prices in 1956.
LUKE: When she was killed, it was not in a peaceful way. Instead of her spirit being freed, it was turned into a malevolent being, known as a demon. After she was killed, the amusement park fell into a state of despair. When adventurers wander through the park, they can sometimes hear a little girl giggling from the direction of the carousel, her favorite ride.
(NESSA can be heard giggling from behind the camera. LUKE and SIMON react in a very dramatic fashion. The camera shakes as it is put on a tripod.)
LUKE: Did you hear that? I can hear her, it’s like she’s still here.
SIMON: We should try and get closer to get more evidence.
(They climb onto the carousel. It starts moving, NESSA peeks out from behind the control panel, quickly spotting the camera and hiding again.)
LUKE: Whoa! Did you do that?
SIMON: How could I? I never left your sight! It could only mean one thing—
BOTH: DEMONS!
(Suddenly, the carousel speeds up and the lights start flickering. LUKE and SIMON hold on for dear life.)
LUKE: Nessa, did you do that?
NESSA: I did nothing!
SIMON: Turn it off! TURN IT OFF!
(Camera clicks again.)

(Camera shows NESSA, LUKE, and SIMON sitting on a path with the sun setting in the background.)
LUKE: Next, we’re going to do something more strategic to learn more about this demon. We’re going to use this Spirit Box.
SIMON: Since Nessa is the smartest of us, I’ll let her explain it.
NESSA: The Spirit Box is a device that flips between different radio channels. Inhabitants of the afterlife use it as a way to communicate with humans by putting the words together in a coherent sentence.
(LUKE turns on Spirit Box)
LUKE (Talks to Spirit Box): Hello demon! If you can hear me, say something with this little box.
(The box is static for a few moments. The crew sits in silence, hoping it will do something. The Spirit Box starts talking, spelling out “LET ME OUT” by flipping through different channels.)
LUKE: Let you out? Of what?
SIMON (Possessed): Of here.
(NESSA and LUKE back up to try and get as far away from SIMON as possible.)
LUKE: Simon, are you in there?
NESSA: Of course he’s not you idiot!
(SIMON hurriedly moves toward NESSA and LUKE. NESSA grabs the camera and they both run. The camera shakes as they are running.)
LUKE (Shouting): What are we going to do now?
NESSA (Also shouting): How am I supposed to know?
(NESSA and LUKE find a place to hide far from SIMON.)
LUKE (Quietly): Will Simon be okay?
NESSA: I don’t know.
(The door crashes open with SIMON. He sprints towards NESSA who turns off the camera just before he reaches her.)
(The camera shows LUKE alone. He is in some secluded place outside. It is pitch dark out. He uses a street lamp as lighting. The camera shakes as he holds it.)
LUKE: If you’re seeing this, then I’m probably dead. Just like my friends. This is all my fault. I’m the one who had this stupid idea and they’re the ones who had to pay for it. Nessa is dead and Simon is possessed and I don’t know what to do. I never even thought any of this was real but now I know the truth. Chances are that if you’re watching this, you’ve seen almost everything you need to know but not everything. The film doesn’t show all of the fun that we had together during this and it also doesn’t show all of the disagreements. You were right Simon. I should have let you have more say, I was jealous. Nessa, I am so so sorry. You didn’t deserve any of this. You shouldn’t have had to deal with our arguments. I regret not letting both of you do more and I regret not being more proud of you guys. I am truly sorry.
(SIMON comes into view of the camera. LUKE gets up from the ground and stands in front of SIMON. LUKE mouths ‘I love you’ and lets SIMON kill him. Everything is silent as SIMON kills LUKE. SIMON walks towards the camera and steps on it. Everything goes dark.)
