The Flying Flucos have had a successful year, particularly with the girls’ cross country team. The ladies took home first place in the Conference 23 meet on Oct. 30, with six girls making All-Conference. Nicki Douma finished in first place, with Devon Burger taking second, Bridget Bossong in seventh, Ellie Ball-Smeilek in eighth, Annaliese Estes in 10th, and Brooke Haislip in 14th place.  “Being my senior year, I’m really going to miss everyone,” said senior Hannah Corbin.

On the boys’ side, Travis Moe also placed fifth place in the boys’ race, and received All-Conference recognition. The next Cross Country Region 4 Meet will be held at Fredericksburg on Nov. 6.
