New Fluvanna Tutoring and Activity Buses

Thinking of staying after school for tutoring, extra help, or a club? Well, with the new activity bus schedule, students that don’t drive have a way of getting home if they stay for a meeting, an after-school activity, or tutoring.

The new activity buses will leave the school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at exactly 5:30 pm. This gives students enough time to receive extra help from teachers, make up work, participate in clubs, or receive tutoring.

In order to ride the activity bus, you must retrieve a permission form from the main office or the guidance office. This must be turned in to the main office. Only one form is required for the whole year. In order to be allowed to stay after school, the student must participate in a supervised school activity such as a club or teacher-approved meeting.

This activity bus process is meant to coincide with the new after-school tutoring system organized by Mrs. Blair Steele. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, teachers will stay after school to teach certain subjects until the activity buses leave at 5:30. The schedule changes every week, and students can find the new schedule posted outside the 3rd floor entrance to the library at the beginning of every new week.

If you’re interested in taking tutoring or riding the activity bus, retrieve a permission form from the main office or guidance office and turn it in to the main office.
