This is a concrete poem created in Elizabeth Pellicane’s 1st block Creative Writing class.
Up, up, up,
We float up into the sky,
Floating wherever the wind takes us
Sometimes you don’t know where you are going
But you just keep on floating on and let the flow take you
Sometimes it’s hard because you want to control it with force
You have to realize you just have to keep on chilling and let it go
My brain floats away almost exactly like how these balloons do,
Letting thoughts take control as the strong wind takes control too
Float away little ballon, let the wind take you up up and away,
Let the wind take you wherever it goes without hesitation
They say we live, laugh, and love, but never say let go
Such an important thing to learn, but no one says,
“Now it is time for you to learn to let go;
Now just let it all start to float.”
Start, don’t look back
Now let go
