As the school year winds down and teachers and staff are making decisions about where to work next year, Fluvanna County Public Schools (FCPS) recently released an “I am a Fluco” video to entice teachers to work in the area.

“While attending a recruitment fair last year, I noticed several divisions had created what I would call a social media ‘elevator pitch’ for their school divisions,” said FCPS Assistant Superintendent Donald Stribling. “I have worked with [teacher David] Small on several other motivational videos for the schools and knew that we could make this happen at an elite level.  The vision was to not only recruit aspiring educators to FCPS, but also share with others what makes Fluvanna County Public Schools and our community an incredible place to work and live,” he added.

Stribling thinks that Fluvanna is a great place to work and teach. “I enjoy the interactions with students, staff, and families. It allows me the opportunity to serve and give back to the community that assisted in providing a solid foundation of growth as a person, outstanding education as a student, and tremendous support to my family,” he said.

If you wish to apply for a position at any of the FCPS schools, you can find the different employment opportunities at this link under “Employment.”
