Interact Club Holds Goodie Bag Sale

The FCHS Interact Club hosted a fundraiser the week of Feb. 27 through March 3 in an effort to raise money for Rise Against Hunger. As world hunger persists, FCHS is one of many organizations helping to donate to the cause.

The sales were held in front of the third floor library and during the switch between first and second block classes, as well as after fourth block during dismissal.

Science teacher Carolyn Hagan sponsored the event with the entire Interact Club working to put the fundraiser in motion. The Interact Club offered a variety of student-made snacks such as cookies, brownies, trail mix, lemonade, and sweet tea for 036;1 to 036;2 each. Students around the school referred to the sale as “affordable” and “reasonably priced.”

Despite this, Interact Club member Ariana Nolte said, ”We haven’t made that much with this fundraiser…we’re only at 036;120 right now.” Still, she said that the club is planning to hold future fundraisers to continue to raise funds.
