FCHS’ Staff Member of the Month for February is Heath Bralley, a physical education teacher who has been teaching since he was 22 years old.
Bralley grew up in Fort Chiswell, located in southwestern Virginia. Bralley says his interest in maintaining good health is one of the main reasons he enjoys being a PE teacher. “I enjoy being healthy myself, and I hope it encourages others to be healthy as well, while also having fun,” he said.
Outside of school, he enjoys playing basketball and sports video games, as well as going out to dinner with his wife, who works as a recreational supervisor in Charlottesville. He also enjoys attending church and playing with his two children, a six-year-old son and a two-year-old daughter (Bralley says she has a “16-year-old attitude.”
