April’s “Helping Hands” Recipient: Robert Hill
April 20, 2018
The recently created “Helping Hands” award at FCHS was recently awarded to ISS teacher Robert Hill for the month of April.
Hill usually spends the majority of his day in the basement of the high school directing the students in ISS. But there’s more to his day-to-day life than just being in the basement. In fact, he’s a bus driver for the school as well.
My daily routine starts with me going on my bus route and picking up the kids, then I usually head on down to the ISS room to handle my day,” he said.
When asked why he chose to work for FCHS, Hill said “I’ve always been in Fluvanna. I graduated in 2002, and when I saw the opportunity to take the job as a bus driver and work for the ISS room, I took it right away.
Hill has multiple family members, including his child, Nazzir, and another child who doesn’t attend school at FCHS.
For winning the Helping Hands award, Hill was given a Regal Cinema gift card, and a Helping Hands Recipient certificate.
