Applications Available for Summer Residential Governor’s School

Applications are now available for the Summer Residential Governor’s School for students in 10th and 11th grade.

Students can choose from multiple different courses, including: Foreign Language, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Humanities, Math, Science, Technology, Agriculture, Medicine, and Space or Marine science.

The Governor’s School allows students to focus on one special area of interest, and provides students with experience of living on a college or university campus for up to four weeks each summer.

During this time, students are involved in classroom and laboratory work, field studies, research, individual/group projects and performances, and seminars with noted scholars, visiting artists, and other professionals. In the three mentorships, students are selected to work side-by-side with research scientists, physicians, and a variety of other professionals.

A director and student-life staff provide supervision of students 24 hours a day, throughout the program.

The application deadlines for the program are:

Visual and Performing Arts- November 21

Foreign Language Academies- January 12

Academic- February 2
