Getting Glamorous for Prom

March is coming to a close and many teens are anxiously preparing for prom. Girls are searching for the right dress and accessories and guys are busy planning the perfect promoposal.

In addition to the stress of finding that perfect outfit, many girls want to pamper themselves and get their hair and makeup done before going to prom. The Glo-Out Glamour Bar in Charlottesville is a new salon to consider for meeting your prom needs. Yelp users have given the Bar a 4.5 out of 5 star rating.

The Bar opened in November of 2017 and is located at 943 Preston Avenue in Charlottesville just a few blocks west of Bodo’s Bagels. They offer a variety of services such as blowouts, all-organic custom airbrush tanning, makeup application, haircuts, hair color, and hair removal. Their prices range from $15 for brow waxes, $40 for blowouts and style (such as curls), and $30 for spray tans.

Appointments can range from as little as 10 minutes to a couple of hours depending on the service. According to owner Nikki Fayolle, they recommended you book appointments at least 1-2 weeks prior to the event for weekend events, including proms. Group appointments are available for those wanting to come in with friends.
