Green Sights
September 20, 2021
though the sun was dull
Green stumbled away
the colors were bright
as it got frosty where the grass lay
the bugs sang Green throughout the night
when Fall approached, Green was gone
and as the sun resurfaced, yellow and bright
but dormant called where it belonged
the birds awoke where Green resided
the trees strong but Green weak
a bright sunny day as all the Green cheered
maybe next year Green would peak
Green withered away because Fall it feared
accepted death of Green itself
as temperatures fell and Fall appeared
Red leaves fell with infinite health
Green faded quickly, its tasks fulfilled
