Closing in all around me
Are walls too high to climb.
People ask “Where are they?”
I say “They’re in my mind.”
Why not make them go?
Just imagine it away?
Believe me, I’ve tried
But I can’t keep them at bay.
However I try to break them,
However I hold them back,
However I cry out for help,
The bricks continue to stack.
So now do you see my trouble?
Can you understand my strife?
These walls that now enclose me,
Have become my very life.
