A Dead Man’s Thesis

March 11, 2019

Cold, dark, damp, and still grieving.

But life still moves on,

an endless tale that’s weaving.

Though I’m now far gone,

I haven’t made a dent.

And all I have now is to cry and repent.

I now rest in the place they call death.

My being is but empty if not for one breath.

With one thing to say,

Before I drift off.

To those I never can repay:

I’m sorry.
