FCHS recently held its first Open Mic Night, giving students the opportunity to share their musical talents. David Small, the event organizer, said the event was designed to allow “Flucos to share their talent.” He noted that the event offered no prizes or rankings, just performances.

Prior to the event, Small noted, “We are pretty open as to the types of acts–we are thinking 5 minutes max would be good [and] all acts must be appropriate for a school audience and permission must be given by parents or guardians for their act to be placed on YouTube. ”

The event aired on You Tube on Nov. 20. The video provided performances of Adele’s “Someone Like You” by Peloma Pena and Billie Eilish’s “No Time to Die” performed by Summer McGraw.
