Making His Mark in Baseball

While some freshmen are still focusing on finding their ways around the halls of the high school, Addison Davis is one Fluco who is already making his mark at FCHS, specifically as a member of the JV baseball team. Davis is also a year-around baseball player, and plays for a travel baseball team called Virginia Breeze Elite. A versatile player, Davis plays left field, second base, and third base. “I live and breathe the game of baseball. I just can never get enough,” he said.

Baseball isn’t his only focus in life– academics are important to him as well. When asked about the accomplishments he is most proud of, he responded, “Getting straight A’s all last school year and going 2-3 in a big game against Orange County.”

Davis is looking forward to serving on the FCHS JV baseball team again this year. “I think we will be great. We have a bunch of studs on the team this year,” he joked. He added that some of the goals for team this year will be building a chemistry together and becoming brothers on and off the diamond. Davis said last year’s JV team had a very successful season, only losing one game. While some of last year’s players will be moving up to the varsity baseball team, Davis is positive about the new team’s changes. “Hopefully, we go undefeated this year,” he said.
