Scholastic Team– October 25-29

In only their second official match of the season, Fluvanna’s Academic Team participated in the Scholastic Bowl at Western Albemarle on Oct. 30, where they put their intelligence to the test against a few rival schools in the Jefferson District.  Although Fluvanna just barely lost to Charlottesville in the meet, they took solace in the fact that they did beat rival Louisa by a sizeable margin. “I thought that we did a pretty good job.  It would’ve been nice to win both matches, but we are fine with how we finished,” said sophomore Chris Robey.  As at all Scholastic team matches, the questions consisted of standard academic and trivia questions, although there was a surprise question about rapper Wiz Khalifa.  The academic team’s next meet is at home on Nov. 6, where they will compete against more teams from the Jefferson District.
