The FCHS Agriculture plant sale kicked off with a soft opening on April 7 in the Greenhouse. The sale lasts until mid-May or until plants sell out. The plants are grown by FCHS Agriculture students and members of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) under the direction of Agricultural teacher Russell Jennings.
Customers can choose from a wide variety of herbs, vegetables, flowers, and decorative plants, including rosemary, tomatoes, petunias, and marigolds. Plants and flowers come in a variety of sizes and formats, from hanging baskets to four-packs.
The proceeds from the sale are donated to next year’s sale and the FFA.
The Greenhouse is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., and on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday sales will be May 3 and 10 from 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. The prices are $2 for small, single pots, $4 for a four-pack, $5 for 6-inch pots, and $15 for hanging baskets.
